Lower your bill with a flat monthly credit.
The Customer Assistance Program (CAP) provides a monthly bill credit to eligible income qualified North Carolina Residential active Piedmont Natural Gas customers from November to March.
Eligibility & Approval Process
To be enrolled in CAP you must have been approved for the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) or the Crisis Intervention Program (CIP) between Sept. 1, 2024, to Aug. 31, 2025. Qualified customers will be automatically enrolled to receive the CAP bill credit November through March.
Customers can apply for LIEAP or CIP by contacting your local Department of Social Services to complete the LIEAP or CIP application process.
