Gas Transportation Services
Piedmont customers who qualify for specific rate schedules may also qualify to transport natural gas. These customers have consumption averages of more than 50 dekatherms per day. Specific eligibility guidelines are listed in
ratesand
tariffs.
A customer may arrange, or have arranged, natural gas that is purchased and delivered to Piedmont's point of receipt. Piedmont accepts this "third party" gas from an interstate pipeline and delivers it to the customer's meter. Third Party Agents (TPAs) act on the customer's behalf to arrange the purchase and delivery of gas to Piedmont's receipt point.
Piedmont Online
Piedmont Online is an Internet application that facilitates the transportation of natural gas and can provide daily consumption information to major account customers. To access Piedmont Online, e-mail the manager of federal regulatory and transportation services at gasservices@piedmontng.com, or call 1-800-752-7508 to receive an application. Piedmont assigns one user ID and one password per account.
Gas Redesigns
Piedmont offers an incentive to offset design costs associated with the redesign of a new or existing building to use natural gas equipment.
Appliance sales, installation, maintenance and repair are services provided through Piedmont’s “Service Plus” program. Work performed through Service Plus is not included in the services offered by Piedmont Natural Gas that are regulated by the utilities commissions in North Carolina, South Carolina or Tennessee.
