Share the Warmth Bill Inserts August and September 2008 Please join your fellow customers in helping families and individuals in crisis pay their energy bills by adding exactly $1 to your bill payment for Share the Warmth (English and Spanish), Piedmont's energy assistance program. Scratch and Sniff Bill Insert June 2008 The Scratch and Sniff (English and Spanish) bill insert goes to customers once a year -- in June to increase awareness about natural gas leaks. The harmless, yet odorous, chemical mercaptan is added to natural gas and to the insert so customers and their families can learn to detect even the smallest amount of escaping gas. The At Your Service brochure is distributed to all new Piedmont Natural Gas customers in North and South Carolina. 2008 Pipeline Public Awareness Bill Insert A new Public Awareness Bill Insert (English and Spanish) began inserting to customers in September 2008. One side is in English and the other is Spanish. The insert goes to Piedmont customers every six months to remain compliant with the Department of Transportation Public Awareness Rule based on API RP 1162. Third Party Notification Program
