Mission Corporate Giving Program

As with our business dealings, we invest our corporate contributions wisely to strengthen our communities and nurture human talents. Preference is given to grant proposals that have relevance to our strategic interests -- Environment, Education, Civic, Health and Human Services, and Arts & Culture.

Piedmont Natural Gas focuses on innovative programs that have a measurable impact, particularly those that:

• Produce significant results in environmental quality: conservation, public policy, research and education, and environmental management                  
• Support community development and revitalization efforts                  
• Expand the availability of educational resources                  
• Improve the quality of education                  
• Help children and youth reach their full potential                  
• Enable individuals in our communities to overcome barriers to self-sufficiency

When investing our resources, Piedmont Natural Gas gives primary consideration to programs that have a high level of Piedmont Natural Gas employee involvement and whose collaborative efforts increase the value of our community investments.
