Employee Campaigns & Volunteers

Employee Campaigns

Piedmont Natural Gas has a long track record of providing financial contributions to organizations and numerous employees also donate their time as volunteers.

We are proud to support many employee-involved campaigns that offer Piedmont Natural Gas the opportunity to work with our most important resource -- our employees, while serving members of our community who are in need of our support. We are proud to have a history of support for the last half century with the United Way and other federated giving campaigns.

Employee Volunteers

At Piedmont Natural Gas, philanthropy goes far beyond financial support - the greatest asset we have is our people. Employee involvement -- which includes time, money, talent and leadership -- is the most vibrant form of philanthropy at Piedmont. Piedmont Natural Gas employees are committed to giving back to the communities where they live and work. Hundreds of our employees dedicate their time, talent and expertise to volunteering for charitable organizations that serve and support issues important to them while meeting critical needs in their communities.

Volunteer involvement in the communities where Piedmont's employees live and work has been a longstanding tradition. With more than 2,100 employees -- in teams and as individuals, Piedmont's employees have devoted thousands of volunteer hours. Their efforts have assisted the less fortunate, addressed health and human service issues and helped promote the arts. That culture of giving has not only allowed Piedmont to become partners with the communities we serve, but it has made the Company a more fulfilling place to work.

These projects have been diverse and range from large efforts involving sizeable groups of employees to small ones involving just a few. Examples include employees working with children as mentors, serving on community boards, acting as volunteer firemen and proudly serving their country through various military branches. Big projects have come in every variety from the annual March of Dimes Walk to serving hot meals to disaster victims.

Piedmont supports and encourages volunteerism. Employee volunteerism leverages the financial investment Piedmont makes in the local community. We will continue to look ahead for new and better ways to volunteer our time and talents so we can always bring added value to our community partnerships.
