Headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., Piedmont Natural Gas is an energy-services company that distributes natural gas to more than one million residential, commercial and industrial customers in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Our subsidiaries are invested in energy-related businesses, including natural gas marketing, storage and transportation.

Internship Details

During the 10-week internship program, students will work in Piedmont's Corporate Office in Charlotte, N.C., completing projects that are vital to the Company's success. Interns will work in departments that align as closely as possible to their area of study. All Piedmont interns will also manage a Company approved community relations project to support a local non-profit organization.

Competitive Pay
Piedmont's interns earn highly competitive pay and those new to the Charlotte area also receive a stipend to assist in relocation costs.

Mentor Program
Each intern will participate in the Intern Mentorship Program, which pairs interns with senior level managers to learn about Piedmont's organization, values, goals and culture.

Social Activities
All Piedmont interns will enjoy volunteering and social opportunities to learn more about the Charlotte area and build bonds with fellow interns.

Qualifications 

• Strong work ethic and initiative
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Active involvement in extracurricular activities
• Good academic standing
• Currently enrolled in an accredited school
