Executive Management Team Profiles

Thomas E. Skains
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Skains was elected Chairman of the Board by Piedmont's Board of Directors in December 2003, CEO in February 2003 and President and Chief Operating Officer in February 2002. Previously, Mr. Skains served as Senior Vice President - Marketing and Supply Services and directed Piedmont's commercial natural gas activities since joining the company in April 1995. Prior to joining Piedmont, Mr. Skains was employed by Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corporation in Houston, Texas as Senior Vice President - Transportation and Customer Services. He joined Transco in 1981 as an attorney and served as corporate and senior attorney before being named Vice President in 1986 and Senior Vice President in 1989. Mr. Skains has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Sam Houston State University and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Houston Law School. He serves as the 2009 Chairman of the American Gas Association and was Chairman of the Southern Gas Association in 2006. In June, 2009, Mr. Skains was elected to the corporate board of BB&T Corporation, a financial holding company headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and operating financial centers in 11 states and Washington, D.C. Mr. Skains also serves as a member of the corporation of Johnson and Wales University. In Charlotte, he has served on the Boards of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, the United Way of Central Carolinas and as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Providence Day School. He served as co-chair of the 2004 & 2005 American Heart Association Charlotte Metro Heart Walks and the 2006 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Arts and Science Council Annual Fund Drive. Mr. Skains is an inactive member of the State Bar of Texas.

David J. Dzuricky
Senior Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Dzuricky leads the areas of controller, accounting, finance, treasurer, investor relations, corporate planning and development services, information services, risk insurance, credit policy, risk management and joint venture management. Prior to joining Piedmont in 1995, Mr. Dzuricky was Vice President and Treasurer of Consolidated Natural Gas Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He received his bachelor's degree in marketing from Syracuse University and his MBA in finance from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Dzuricky is a member and past Chairman of the Finance Committee of the American Gas Association and formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Southeastern Gas Association. Mr. Dzuricky is a member of the Board of The United Way of Central Carolinas and of its Finance Committee.  He also serves on the Board of the Central Piedmont Community College Foundation.

Kevin M. O'Hara
Senior Vice President - Corporate and Community Affairs
Mr. O'Hara is responsible for the Company's Legislative and Community Affairs, Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources and Building Services functions. He joined Piedmont in 1987 and has previously served as Vice President of Business Development and Ventures where he was responsible for Piedmont's business development activities and non-utility joint ventures. Mr. O'Hara has also served as the Company's Vice President of Corporate Planning. He began his career with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in their Chicago office. Mr. O'Hara is a member of the Southern Gas Association and American Gas Association. He has held numerous leadership positions in Charlotte civic and social organizations and currently serves on the Boards of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and Charlotte Regional Partnership. Mr. O'Hara, a native of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and received his MBA from DePaul University.

Michael H. Yount
Senior Vice President - Utility Operations
Michael joined Piedmont in April 2006. He is responsible for Piedmont's Distribution and Utility Services, Field Operations, Engineering, Environmental, Construction, Operations Support & Services, Codes & Standards and Measurement. He oversees System Design, OQ Training, Pipeline Safety, GIS, and Gas Control as well as the company’s Business Innovation Development group which focuses on other complementary business opportunities. Michael was formerly a Vice President and Consultant for Senn-Delaney Leadership Consulting Group where he worked with Piedmont's management group in developing the Piedmont Pride program that focuses on developing leadership skills and creating a healthy, high performance culture throughout the organization. Michael has an extensive natural gas industry background with Williams/Transco (formerly Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corporation). He held several management positions at Williams/Transco including project development, sales and marketing, customer service, engineering and construction and business process improvement functions. Michael received his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from The Georgia Institute of Technology with highest honors.

Franklin H. Yoho
Senior Vice President - Commercial Operations

Mr. Yoho joined Piedmont in March 2002. He directs sales and marketing, transportation services, federal and state regulatory affairs, gas accounting, rates, supply planning, and gas supply and wholesale marketing. Prior to joining Piedmont, he was Vice President, Business Development for CT Communications, a diversified telecommunications company headquartered near Charlotte. Prior to joining CT Communications, Mr. Yoho was Senior Vice President - Marketing and Gas Supply for the former Public Service Company of North Carolina (PSNC), now a division of SCANA Corporation. Mr. Yoho received his MBA degree from The Ohio State University and a BA in Economics from Washington and Jefferson College. Mr. Yoho serves on the Boards of the Charlotte Regional Sports Commission, The Southern Gas Association, and of CTN, a distance learning and communication organization focused on the energy industry. He has served as First Vice President of the Southeastern Gas Association and was formerly on the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Gas Technology.

Jane R. Lewis-Raymond
Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary
Mrs. Lewis-Raymond was named to the position of Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer in April 2006. She was elected by the Piedmont Board of Directors to the office of Corporate Secretary effective July 2006. Mrs. Lewis-Raymond is responsible for the Company's legal affairs, corporate secretary, and corporate compliance matters. Prior to joining Piedmont, Mrs. Lewis-Raymond was Vice President - Regulatory Affairs for the American Gas Association in Washington, D.C. With AGA she was responsible for advising the Association's member company Board of Directors and Government Relations Policy Committee on rate and regulatory matters pending before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and state regulatory commissions. Mrs. Lewis-Raymond received her BA degree in East Asian Languages and Literature and Government and Politics and her law degree from the University of Maryland. She serves on the Teach for America Charlotte Board, and, is a member of the American Bar Association, the Energy Bar Association, Keystone Energy Board, and the Women's Council on Energy and the Environment.

June B. Moore
Vice President - Customer Service

Ms. Moore is Vice President of Customer Service for Piedmont Natural Gas, responsible for all Customer Service operations in the company's service areas including the Customer Contact Centers, Billing, Meter Reading, and Credit and Collections.  Ms. Moore joined Piedmont in 1986 in Information Services where she led the implementation of the company's Customer Information System, managed business applications, and developed the corporate information architecture.  Prior to moving to Customer Service, she was Vice President of Information Services and focused on leveraging the company's technology assets through implementation of best practices and process standardization.  Prior to Piedmont, Ms. Moore worked in IT at Photo Corporation of America International and taught in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System.  Ms. Moore has served as Chair of the Southern Gas Association's Information Technology Committee and chair of Information Technology Charlotte.  She is currently chair of the Customer Relationship Management Committee of the Southern Gas Association.  She is also Vice Chair of the Board of Summit House Charlotte. She received the Charlotte Business Journal's Women in Business Achievement Award in 2004.  Moore has a BA degree in Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
