The Utility Technician is responsible for helping maintain LNG facility in a constant state of readiness and maintain facility according to guidelines set forth by DOT 49 cfr 193, NFPA 59A, company policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude     
• Valid drivers license     
• Minimum six months training or experience in mechanics or refrigeration     
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills     
• Demonstrated knowledge of hand tools

Preferred Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED         
• Two years of related technical training         
• Experience/training in electrical circuits         
• Experience/training in gas compression         
• Small engine maintenance and repair experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Extensive walking required inside and outside (concrete floors and uneven terrain); must get in and out of vehicle; must lift and carry up to 50 lbs. 8 to 10 times per shift; must work outdoors in all types of weather. 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Weekend, holiday and overtime work required; rotating shift; must successfully complete five security classes; must pass DOT physical; will be cross-trained in plant operational functions

Hours:

This position is on a Rotating Shift (1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts).
