The Sr. Accountant will directly support the department manager in the performance of critical analytical and accounting responsibilities related to financial closings, development and ongoing management and support of accounting systems as well as assist with planning, budgeting, merger and acquisition activities as necessary. Position will lead others in performance of the many responsibilities of the accounting department; also perform in their absence and/or absorb duties currently performed by department manager or others. Research relevant accounting pronouncements including IFRS, interpretations and other new or revised regulatory guidance in order to recommend and implement, or assist with ongoing compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

• BS/BA in Accounting
• CPA certification
• Minimum of 5 years of researching and implementing accounting pronouncements and othre regulatory and reporting requirements
• Minimum 5-10 years experience with financial closings and management reporting
• Must be organized, detail oriented, motivated and able to multitask in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Preferred Requirements:  

• MBA
• Experience in Regulatory Accounting
• Experience with PeopleSoft preferred (Oracle, SAP)
• Hands on experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

Physical Requirements:

Work evening and weekend hours as necessary. Must be able to work as an effective member of the team and share work duties with others on an as needed basis. The variety of responsibilities and tasks require the Senior Accountant to multi-task and manage different projects and changing priorities concurrently.

Other Requirements:

Must have good visual acuity and hearing and must be able to sit for long periods of time at a personal computer.
