The Senior Programmer/Analyst participates in the implementation of software applications and provides the necessary level of software support by: 

·         designing more complex systems and program logic to meet the functional requirements of the user

·         coding program logic

·         developing program test plans

·         testing programming work units and verifying results

·         performing the appropriate level of systems and user testing

·         assisting in the completion of user acceptance testing to ensure that systems meet the design criteria

·         assisting in the maintenance of user, operations and technical documentation

·         diagnosing and resolving reported problems with application software associated with assigned systems

·         reviewing and evaluating new and existing software products to meet the needs of business users

The Senior Programmer/Analyst works on the most complex technical needs and can provide direction to more junior team members.

Minimum Requirements:

·         Associates degree or certificate in related field or 6 years experience as a computer programmer 

·         Minimum four years client/server or web-based programming experience 

·         Relational database experience such as DB2, Oracle, or SQL server 

·         Minimum one year analysis & design experience 

·         Team leadership experience 

·         Demonstrated effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills 

Preferred Requirements:

• BA/BS degree in related field  
• Systems development methodology experience  
• Project management experience 
• On-call support experience 
• Experience with the following software products/programs:
  • VB.net (2.0) - 1 year 
  •  asp.net (2.0) - 1 year 
  • PL/Sql - 2 years 
  • XML/XLST Web Services  
  • Experience Implementing OOP (Object Oriented Programming)

Physical Requirements:

Requires long periods of sitting and working on a computer.
