Reporting to the Manager Regulatory Affairs, the Regulatory Analyst is responsible for a variety of gas cost accounting and both state and federal regulatory functions to ensure the integrity of gas costing information and the Companys compliance with state and federal regulations. In particular, the Regulatory Analyst compiles and analyzes gas costing information used in financial reporting (SEC, IRS, NCUC, SCPSC, TRA, etc.) and fulfillment of regulatory requests. The position is responsible for recording all cost of gas entries, including all related regulatory deferred accounts and inventory accounts, analysis of variances in revenues, and margin for management review and financial disclosure. The Regulatory Analyst is also responsible for working with regulatory agencies and other PNG departments to ensure regulatory requirements and requests are met in an accurate and timely manner. In addition, the Regulatory Analyst may represent PNG to the various regulatory agencies as directed by the Managing Director Regulatory Affairs.
