Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for coordination, configuration, installation, and operational management of all LANs/WANs and related client services within the enterprise to meet business requirements. Implements network architectures, including LANs, LAN internetworking, and connections with the WAN environment. Has key responsibility for the identification and resolution of hardware and software technical problems related to LANs/WANs. Ensures a stable performance environment for the enterprise computing environments.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate¿s degree in a technical field
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) credential (must be active)
Minimum three years experience managing and implementing network architectures including routing, switching, Client/Server computing and using WAN/LAN management suites and analysis tools
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor¿s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or in a related technical field
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) credential
Minimum 1 year experience with Cisco Call Manager and IP Contact Center products
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer credential
Unix or Linux experience
Ability to define, prioritize, schedule, and monitor multiple technical projects as demonstrated through current or previous work experience
Physical Requirements:
Long periods of sitting while working on a computer.
Other Requirements:
Evening and weekend work as required. Demonstrated ability to anticipate future network requirements, perform continuous capacity planning, and research and analyze emerging technologies. Must positively interact with network security, server teams, sourcing partners, as well as internal customers. Assist in development of comprehensive project plans/schedules .
