Minimum Requirements:

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude            
• Valid drivers license            
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED            
• Related work experience (machine or equipment operator, mechanic, construction, pipefitter, etc.)            
• CDL

Physical Requirements:

Operate jackhammer; frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting (up to 75 lbs.); frequent walking over uneven terrain.

Other Requirements:

On-call responsibilities (as required by district); overtime and weekend work occasionally required; work in adverse weather conditions; CDL must be obtained within 6-month probationary period.  Employee will be required to reach the Winston Salem Operations Office within 30 minutes during any emergency situation where the employee is called for duty.
