Position Purpose:

To contribute to the selection of pipeline facility components utilized in the construction, operation, and maintenance of transmission and distribution systems.  In addition, the position will be responsible for ensuring that engineering functions related to all pipeline facilities are performed and maintained in accordance with CFR Part 192. 

Minimum Requirements:

• BS degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Materials Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school   
• Demonstrated proficiency using word processing and spreadsheet software   
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills   
• Possess N.C. driver¿s license

Preferred Requirements:

• EI certification or PE licenses in NC and SC.*   
• Natural gas distribution system design experience   
• Other piping system design experience   
• Experience writing specifications or technical reports   
• Proficiency in Auto Cad

Physical Requirements:

Occasional walking over uneven terrain

Other Requirements:

Limited travel required.  May occasionally be required to work evenings or weekends
