Job Title: Desktop Support Technician

To deliver quality customer service and support for client computing that meets customer expectations and leads to positive working relationships by being the single point of contact for problem identification and resolution. Minimum Requirements: - Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST)
- High school diploma plus a minimum of four years experience with technology problem resolution skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft windows architecture and desktop products with a minimum of two year’s experience in using a Microsoft platforms (Clients and Servers)
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Understands PC problem solving techniques and methodologies
- Basic understanding of Computer Networks wired and wireless
Preferred Requirements: - Microsoft Certified Support Administrators or higher certifications
- IS Desktop or Server Support 3 or more years experience
- Has an understanding of business impacts and priority for client computing support
Physical Requirements: - Requires long periods of sitting and working on a computer with long hours of phone handset/headset use. Travel to end user work locations and physical labor is required to move and setup PCs and some printers.
Other Requirements: - Must be available for travel, some overnight. The Desktop Customer Service Department is physically staffed 7:00 AM until 6:00 PM eastern standard time and provides after hour support to ensure 24/7/365 coverage for customer calls. This position is required to serve in a rotational on-call support routine for after hour support.
